Description

Belmont Hill School seeks a creative and dynamic Ceramics and Middle School Art Teacher to begin in August 2026. A popular program in the School, the Art Department offers classes from beginning through advanced levels with a focus on fine craftsmanship in hand-built and wheel-thrown works of art or functional pottery. The studio is fully equipped with state-of-the-art equipment with two new electric kilns. A full-time position would include being part of a team responsible for teaching seventh-grade art (our youngest students) and multiple levels of Ceramics. Additional duties include advising, and contributing in other areas of school life. For the right candidate, the position could include running our professional gallery that hosts 6 professional artists annually. The anticipated salary range for this position is $60,000–$90,000, commensurate with the candidate’s experience and level of education.

Belmont Hill School is a non-denominational school for boys in grades 7-12 situated on 40 acres in Belmont, MA, a suburb 20 minutes northwest of Boston. Primarily a day school, Belmont Hill also maintains a five-day boarding program for approximately 30 students in order to serve students from a broader geographic region.
