Belmont Hill seeks a part time teacher and coach to assist in the Bolles Makerspace and with the rapidly growing Belmont Hill Robotics Team.
As the Makerspace Technician and Robotics Assistant Coach, responsibilities will include assisting students (grades 7-12) and faculty with curricular and extracurricular activities in the Bolles Makerspace, including the use of basic arts and crafts, hand tools, basic coding, 3D printers, and other related makerspace skills (training can be provided), as well as assisting in the oversight and mentoring of students in the current season of the Vex V5 Robotics Program. In this role, you will also travel with the team and other coaches to tournaments in the greater Boston area one to two weekends a month during the competition season, which runs late November through Early March. A STEM background, or experience with maker technology, as well as experience with an educational robotics competition such as Vex V5 or FTC, is strongly preferred.
